Smoking is a deadly habit which risks the life of the person leading to heart attacks or strokes and even cancer. The dangers of smoking also implies for the passive smokers equally even though they are not directly involved. Passive smoking results in different respiratory illnesses such as asthma, bronchitis etc which could indirectly result in educational and recognition difficulties. The heart rate is elevated by smoking and it lifts up blood pressure as the nervous system is stimulated by the substance known as nicotine. The oxygen amount that gets into the brain is decreased and in the same way thickens the blood also. Thus the risks of clots leading is increased and results in strokes or cardiac disorders. The arteries are clogged by the tar deposits from the smoke and due to this the air sacs are damaged resulting in the shortness of breath. It is not considered to be a short term damage as it would be a long term permanent destruction.
It is well known and surprising fact that there are almost 4000 chemicals present in a cigarette. Out of these sixty of them are well known for causing cancer. Other than lung cancer smoking also causes bladder cancer, mouth cancer, pancreatic cancer, esophageal cancer, cervical cancer and mouth cancer. According to the smoking statistics it is stated that the smokers would probably live for twelve lesser when compared to the non smokers. Even though the life is shorter, it would be clumped up with diseases like cancer, cardiac arrest etc.
Along with smoking if the person suffers from cholesterol, heart disease, respiratory disease or diabetes the results would be much worse than to be thought about. Across the globe, one of the major reason for deaths are due smoking alone. Even though people get to know about the dangers of smoking, they continue with their habit leading to more problems for them. Each person smokes for different reasons and it varies such as stress relief, weight maintenance, pleasure and even anxiety. There are certain symptoms experienced such as chest pain, persisting cough and breathlessness. The only way that helps to quit smoking is the fear of dying. It is also stated that early quitting could bring up a real and new life for them.
